The following year, he was appointed the base manager of the newly re-opened Warmun base. This role provided ample opportunities for flying in and out of a more confined landing site regularly, as well as showcasing different sights around the Bungle Bungle Range. By the end of the season, he moved to Lake Argyle, another prime location for remote waterfall and island landings.
More recently, Elliott relocated to Esperance on the southern coast of Western Australia. This involved ferrying helicopters across the entire width of the country, from north to south—a three-day journey through varying conditions, navigating storms and refueling in some of the most remote areas in the country. He was again appointed base manager and has spent the summer flying over the spectacular Esperance coastline and landing on island beaches.
As the 2025 Kimberley dry season begins, Elliott is returning north and will be based at the Mitchell Plateau.
