Getting a job in the helicopter industry in Australia is a dream for most people and like everyone else, I was no exception. So when it came to training, I began looking for opportunities to get jobs before I started my training and after much research and a reference or two, I discovered the Australian Helicopter Academy. I contacted the Chief Flying Instructor and asked him about the company and possibility of getting a job after the completion of my licence. He explained how the company worked and the chances of getting job afterward was very high.
I came to Kununurra to complete my training and got to fly in some of the most amazing places. Every day was different, whether it was spotting crocodiles from the helicopter during training, enjoying the stable weather of the dry season and learning the ins and outs of the helicopter with the engineers in the maintenance section of the company. I couldn’t have wished for better training and ongoing guidance as I started my career. I fully recommend Australian Helicopter Academy as a training school to give you the best knowledge and understanding of helicopters you could ever have to start your career with.
