The East Kimberley and Northern Territory provide us with a huge variety of navigation routes. Students start learning to navigate on routes with more easily recognisable features and work their way to routes with almost no features where being able to hold an accurate heading on the compass becomes much more important. When conducting training in the Robinson R44, navigation exercises also include a three-day trip from Kununurra to Darwin to allow students to experience operating to and from a Military Class C Controlled Aerodrome.
